Landscaping Is Problem-Solving
Landscaping is problem-solving. Landscaping is a lot more complicated and involved than most people know. It’s much more than mowing and planting. A top-notch landscaper is a problem-solver. Understanding issues like drainage, erosion, and pest control is essential. A problem-solver offers solutions, demonstrates expertise, and builds trust. That’s what we here at Berger Hargis strive to do. Here are some of the problems we tackle and solve.
Landscaping Is Problem-Solving
Rocky Terrain
Removing the rocks might be the answer, but sometimes it isn’t. We’ve occasionally solved this rocky problem with a rock garden.
Hilly Property
Does your property feel like one big hill? If so, we could grade the yard to create some flat spaces. We’ve also created swales, which are grassy depressions that channel storm water runoff away from the house. Slopes also make great spots for rock gardens.
Too Sunny
Many new subdivisions include homes with no trees or small trees that offer little shade. Planting shrubbery and trees is the long-term solution to this problem. Shade sails can be a short-term or quick solution for too much sun.
Too Shady
This problem can sometimes be solved through pruning but may also require removing some plants. The key is to thin the plants to let the sunshine in.
Poor Drainage
I had this problem in my backyard. I could either fix it or plant rice. So, Berger Hargis installed a French drain on my property, problem solved. A swale is the answer for some yards, and we’ve also created rain gardens.
Pesky Pests
Pests include insects that feed on grass, grubs, mosquitoes, moles, and more. So, depending on the pest, we put on our thinking caps and design a plan to solve your pesky pest problem.
Woeful Weeds
To fight those woeful weeds we provide multiple lawn services such as core aeration, fertilization, overseeding, sod installation, weed control, and more.
These are only a few of the landscaping problems we face every week. For example, commercial properties face their own set of landscaping problems such as high traffic areas, close proximity to highways, and large concrete areas. Whatever your problem is Berger Hargis is your answer. Because we are problem solvers.
We’re proud of our customized problem-solving. We work directly with clients to quickly diagnose turf symptoms, tree and shrub deficiencies, and aquatic problems to facilitate rapid treatment and remediation. However, we don’t stop there, follow-up analysis and treatments are also scheduled as part of our extended service commitment.
